Man On The Run

Commissioned by Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville, Winston Hacking produced a series of mixed media animations linking the narrative and creating a cohesive aesthetic vision that matches the handmade nature of McCartney’s work during the period.

The feature-length documentary charts the formation of the band Wings. Animated sequences by Hacking are woven throughout the film, visually extending Paul McCartney’s narration. Man on the Run premiered in cinemas on 13 February 2026 and is streaming on Prime Video.
